Daddy?

… a Daddy who adopted a baby not his own, and took on the role of Father…

I’ve been praying over this piece, as I was given him with hopes to repair…and it’s taken longer than I expected, but through this process it has been a prayerful journey.

Nothing is by coincidence~ I am certain, not one moment in our lives…

I contemplated this while sanding him down to find his foundation.

I kept asking the Lord,

“what do you want me to see?”

“what do you want me to know?”

Continually sanding and repairing his broken places, and sanding again…revelation began to break open, and then it hit my heart deeply…

Joseph…

He was minding his ways~going through life, as he walked directly into his appointment with the Lords divine will. How overwhelming the thought, how ill equipped he must have felt to be confronted with the task as Father.

The myriad of questions and uncertainty, the flood of emotion and fear…

Then the angel of the Lord spoke, “fear not, take Mary…she will bear a son, you will call his name Jesus.”

He chose~ to take on sweet baby Jesus as his own son.

There was no demanding requirement…

he could have said no…

But he chose…

The Lord our God, He is so precious in his ways with us… he sent Jesus in the flesh, as a baby… a vulnerable baby…and they grew together as a family.

He was gentle with Joseph and Mary’s hearts, to bring Him in a way, that they could grow together, learning and walking through the joys and aches they would face in raising His only begotten Son.

In our weakness, He is strong.

He makes us worthy of the call He has designed us for in this life~ to bring Him glory, and to bring us deep satisfaction in Him.

His ways are so good…they nourish our soul and the souls of others around us, as we surrender.

His goodness chases us down… Do you believe this?

What Joy…

What a Savior.

“Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven .”
