“…I shook my head, because I knew what I was about to read”

It is 11:48pm on this Saturday evening, May 31, 2025…as I begin to write and still my spirit before the Lord… I think about my reading today, as it was
in Proverbs 31…

In coming to the passage this morning, if I’m honest, I shook my head because I knew what I was about to read~in ways… so many attributes that the Virtuous woman Embodies, I deeply long for and seek after, but yet find myself wanting.
After reading and journaling through my study, I swiftly went to work in my home. Today felt different, it was marked by enthusiasm and energy filling the atmosphere~ producing a diligent hand and intentionality to re-order the spaces that were in disarray and cleanse and purge areas that needed much attention.
With joy, the children set to clean with me, and I truly believe it was because, I laid hold of the moment by the living-breathing scriptures, and lead them to the work at hand, and we served together as a team.
Children truly do learn by example, and it was manifested today by the sheer fact that I took the Word of God that I read, and I applied it as best as I was able with the time that I set aside to care, for our sacred space that we call home.
Whenever we finally paused, though not completely finished, there was a sense of accomplishment and peace ensued because, we were able to collectively
sense the order.
How can you engage His word today?
He is the Way.
He is the Truth.
He is the Life...and oh, there is so much life to live, when we decide to step forward into the Light, and simply, “follow Jesus.”
“She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.”
Proverbs 31:27
